During the Cross-Cultural Negotiation course, my team and I developed a chatbot using ChatGPT 4.0 to assist mergers and acquisitions (M&A) consultants. The problem we aimed to solve was the time-consuming nature of analyzing financial data, assessing cultural fit, and managing negotiations in M&A transactions. We had approximately two weeks to develop the project, making efficient use of our time and resources. To address this challenge, we applied the ROLE methodology, defining the chatbot’s rules, expected outcomes, and limitations to ensure it could guide users through key stages like preliminary analysis, negotiation, and due diligence. My role focused on designing the chatbot’s logic and integrating scenarios that allowed it to evaluate the financial health of target companies, assess risks, and support smoother negotiations. The result was a functional demo showcasing the chatbot's ability to reduce manual effort and improve decision-making in M&A processes. This project taught me the value of combining technology with complex business challenges, offering a glimpse into the potential of AI in simplifying M&A activities.
